Happy Halloween

My son is such a Joker! Thought we would have some fun and take his shots right at dark so they would be dark, grainy and moody in keeping with his character this year....it was fun. Wishing all of you a safe and happy Halloween!

Look how I've grown!

What a big boy! Mason was in for his 3 year old pictures and boy has he ever grown. We were comparing him from age two to three and he is quite a little man now! It is amazing to watch and see the difference in just one year, thanks Kim for bringing Mason to Backroads for his special birthday portraits.

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL!!!!!!

What an exciting game Thursday night!!! Chad Harris asked us to photograph his son and the Cherokee Middle School football team and we had an awesome time. The teams were so well matched and the game was so exciting between Cherokee and Carver that I found myself yelling on the side lines while trying to get the shots. We had a great time and watched some incredibly gifted 7th grade athletes. You guys ROCKED!

There is a full gallery of pictures up on the viewing site at www.backroadsphotography-lynda.com then click the drop down next to the gallery tab, look for the gallery named Cherokee Middle School Football, enter that and you will be asked to enter a password, enter cherokee (no caps) and it will take you right to the gallery of about 180 images.

Thanks so much Chad for asking us to capture these special memories of your son and his team-mates, we had a great time getting these action shots.

B-Ball Senior Lady Pirates '09

We had so much fun last Wednesday night when we got together in the Crane High School gym with Chelsey and Kenzie and shot their sports shots. We were able to capture the two of them both together and separate in their ball uniforms, in the locker-room and with the State trophy that they helped win last year when Crane High ended 4th in the state in basketball! You girls are just so much fun and I think you both had a good time too watching us try to get the shots we wanted while trying real hard not to tear up too much of our equipment in the process. Good luck this year ladies to both of you and the Lady Pirates!

Laura~SCHS

Beautiful Laura was back for her senior session and we had a wonderful day for all her around town shots. Laura is a senior this year at Catholic and is so busy with school and sports but we were able to pick an afternoon and cruise Springfield looking for just the right spots for her images. This girl can dress! She picked the most incredible colors and styles to get a wide variety of images and that made our job of picking the locations even more fun, she even brought her "football team jeans" to show her school spirit. Thanks Laura for being such a sport and for picking Backroads by Lynda for your senior portraits, and we hope you have a great senior year.

Irish Middle School Soccer 2009

Last night we attended the Irish Middle school soccer game in Springfield and were WOW'd by their athletic abilities. This group of young men were fantastic to watch compete and we had such a great time that I am sure we will be back to attend another game. It was a very exciting and the teams were well matched with the game ending in a tie. Well done Irish!

New addition to the fleet!

Mike and I have been contacted by a newspaper to obtain pictures from our town of Billings to be featured for an article that is being written about the towns of Billings here in the United States. We were honored and excited to have been chosen and have had so much fun driving around seeing old friends and meeting new ones with our "Billings images" adventure. This week we met the Fire Chief, Tony Keats while he and his father were putting up a new sign on one of the fire houses. While there talking with Tony, he brought out the newest addition to the fleet and showed us the brand new firetruck! It's a beauty Tony and I am thrilled to show the rest of you a couple of images of the new truck protecting our homes and property here in Billings, MO.

Check the blog frequently for new pictures that we will be submitting and when we hear that the article has been published we will be sure to post the link for all to see. I have learned many new things about our Billings in the past week and am so excited to share what our town has to offer!

Karly ~ Kickapoo

Karly. You may know her, the cute little Cheerleader with the awesome smile that was featured here before! Yes, we are tight with her, she is one of our senior reps for 2009. When Karly isn’t crazy busy cheering, she’s a typical senior at Kickapoo High School. In between her busy schedule, we did two sessions of her senior portraits recently. Gorgeous stuff and she happens to be a very nice young lady too!!! Karly is the full package and we are so thrilled to have her on board here at Backroads by Lynda. If you are from Kickapoo and still looking for senior portraits this year, go chat with Karly and find out about the Backroads experience.
