I was able to shoot the Holliday family before all the leaves were gone. A beautiful young family with a brand new addition, this is what makes taking family portraits just plain fun! You guys were all such troopers willing to walk down creek beds in heels and do whatever was asked, even in the cold to get some unique images. Tate and I both had such a wonderful time working with you, thanks for choosing Backroads for your first family portraits.

WOW!
Did the color ever come alive and provide us with a beautiful backdrop! The Halfpapp family had their family portraits taken in Springfield and just looked incredible in their denim and red with the fall leaves. I can't wait to finish editing the rest of these, you guys all looked great! Thanks for choosing Backroads by Lynda for you family portraits.
Fall Family Portraits!
It has finally happened, the fall folaige is here!!! The leaves have been just beautiful and so have the families that we have been photographing. Last weekend was so busy, and I am just now trying to get some previews up for everyone to see. We have been taking pictures from Springfield to Crane and everywhere in between and have had the privilege of seeing the beauty of the Ozarks at many of the local parks. Here are a few of the families that we have been working with at Backroads Photography by Lynda.

Cortney's fall previews!
.....................Hey.............Lilly.................we are over here!
I want to take the opportunity to thank Cortney for for allowing me to take some pictures of her and her 2 very special pets Stormy and Lilly. We had such a good time getting some unique images of Cortney doing more than just run of the mill portrait work. Cortney was so great to work with and I could have take pictures of her all day. She was willing to try anything suggested to get shots that really represent what location shooting is all about. Stormy and Lilly were beautiful animals and I was able to get some really nice pet portraits too, as long as we could position Lilly so she could see the geese that she desperately wanted to get! Hey Cortney, I still love the coat!!! Thanks for getting it out and letting me showcase it a little. We have some great shots to work with, I can't wait to show you more!

A new little blessing has come to our town
Happy Halloween
Happy Halloween to everyone from the studio of Backroads by Lynda. Here are a few of the little ones that have been in to visit and get their fall pictures. Bella and Brock were in and all dressed for Halloween. They had just been to the pumpkin patch and Bella came adorned with a sparkling spider on her cheek. How cute is she!!!! Brock was so alert and looked right at home in the fall background dressed with little ghosts on his outfit.

Meet Ethan
my newest student ambassador from Crane. Ethan is a senior this year at Crane and has signed on to get the "Backroads by Lynda" name out at his school. Ethan and his Mom came by today and we did studio shots as well as location shooting too. I have only just started the editing process on his images and can't wait to be able to do them all. We got some really unique shots of Ethan and he made it so easy. Ethan was just great to work with, willing to try any pose, extremely photogenic and was fun too! I look forward to coming down to Crane later during your basketball season Ethan and getting some fun shots for you to keep from your senior year. Good luck and have a fun senior year! If you are in Crane and still looking for a studio to do your senior pictures, go talk to Ethan and he can tell you all about the "Backroads" experience. I look forward to having you as my newest ambassador.
Chris and Trista's e-session
Last weekend Mike and I got the privilege of taking engagement pictures for Chris and Trista. We were able to take some in the studio before heading out to Springfield where we walked around town and got some great "Urban style" images for them. What a wonderful couple to work with, so nice and cute too! You guys just look great together. Blessings for a wonderful life together filled with love. Thanks for letting Backroads be part of your new beginning.
Fireballs soccer team
The Republic Fireballs soccer team asked us to get their team and individual photos this year. What a great bunch of little athletes. All of them were fun to work with and just so polite too. Denise and I teamed up for this photo shoot and had a great time getting some shots of some really cute kids. Here is a sample of one of the athletes! Good luck this year Fireballs!!!
Little people have been coming to visit!
GeeWhiz, it's been 3 weeks since I updated the blog
My brother is a football coach up in North Callaway county and recently I got to photograph homecoming for them. This is the North Callaway County high school winning the Callaway Cup. This trophy is an ongoing rivalry between North and South Callaway County schools. This year, North Callaway was victorious and I was able to capture the cup being lifted above the team after the game and we got to watch a great fireworks display after the victory! Way to go Thunderbirds!!!!! Congratulations on your big win. This is the church that Catherine and Robin got married in at the end of September. What a beautiful location and stunning couple. It was a pleasure and an honor to be asked by Scott Plauche from Bentonville, Arkansas to be a second shooter for him at this wedding. If you want to see truly indredible wedding images check out Scott's website at www.scottplauche.com/ and be ready to be wowed! He and his wife Angela specialize in weddings and know how to get the kind of images every bride and groom want!

DON'T FORGET IT IS ALMOST THE CHRISTMAS SEASON:

We will be running a special for the holiday season too for your children's Christmas pictures. Christmas cards will be available this year and we will be taking the Christmas pictures starting around the first of November and be ending by the first of December so that you will have time to get them in the mail and also have prints available for Christmas presents for friends and family! This will be set up for the month of November and as always, if you are wanting outdoor location shots, that is always available at Backroads by Lynda!
Isaac was back

Meet Kara
Kara is a senior from Columbia and was so photogenic! We had a great morning and we were able to find some wonderful places in Columbia to shoot. I had a great time with Kara and her Mother as well as getting to spend some quality time with my brother and his family. What a great way to spend the weekend! Thanks Kara for picking Backroads by Lynda for your senior session.
The Hanafin family
China and Simone were back
China came back to get her studio images finished and to get a few more outdoor shots too. Once again we had a blast and I felt so lucky to be her photographer. We got some great shots to work with and she and Simone had fun in the process. I got a few of Simone by herself and a bunch of the two of them together. There is just nothing like having a best friend to bring out the best pictures! Thanks for coming over and letting me be part of your Senior year ladies!
